RENEWABLE ENERGY

Verterra has unparalleled experience in all aspects of renewable energy policy and project development from market assessment, shaping and tracking energy policy, understanding and advising on the development process that varies from one jurisdiction to another, preliminary design work, construction planning and management, portfolio and project management.  Our team collectively has over 3 decades of experience delivering renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and most recently hydro.

 

Utilities and Energy

Verterra has applied experience in route planning, environmental assessment and permitting, engaging stakeholders and Indigenous People, and advising on environmental management during construction.  In addition, the team has experience preparing corporate plans for environmental management including issues ranging from carbon management to environmental impact mitigation.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND LAND

Verterra Group’s partner firm LandConnect offers utilities, energy companies and developers a turn key solution for acquisition of land or land rights for new projects or network expansions, and utilizes a GIS based workflow for identifying critical or key land parcels.  Verterra has provided advice on environmental management and acquired environmental approvals and associated permits for infrastructure and land development projects.

GOVERNMENT

Verterra’s practical experience means that its well placed to advise governments, at a municipal, provincial and federal level, in many technical areas including renewable energy, community financing and environmental assessment. Verterra is able to advise at a strategic level with a focus on practical implementation.
